DJ RODRIGO (KYOTO, JAPAN)

DJ Rodrigo is one of the most active and popular DJs and considered the only profesional DJ in Japan. Every month he spins at 4 big cities
in Japan, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyoto.
He plays now at most famous party at Hilton Hotel salsa night in Tokyo and Osaka every month.
Rodrigo is also a famous promoter Japan. He organized "Kyoto International Salsa Festival
Salsa Candela", the biggest Salsa event in West Japan.
Rodrigo is also well known among international Salsa communities. This year alone, he was invited to
DJ at many international festivals such as Bangkok Salsa Fiesta, Hongkong Salsa Festival,
Malysia Salsa Festival, Paris Salsa Festival, Korea Salsa Congress,
2010 New Jersey Congress and 2009 New York congress.

His DJ style is original. He selects music for dancers by various genres not only the salsa
but also jazz, pop music, fusion, flamenco.
His cool sound is supported enthusiastically by salsa dancers around the world.

DJ YUMI (KANAZAWA)

DJ　Yumi from Kanazawa, Japan
slender beauty with black long hair.
She loves rare groove music and the flamenco dance.
After graduation, she studied abroad. First lived in Barcelona, then in London, she enjoyed night clubbing and live music.
Among them, she was attracted to Latin music and finally met "salsa".

When she came back to Japan, she started taking lessons of salsa dancing from Marie of Marie Rossa
in her hometown Kanazawa.

However, she still loved dance music more than dancing, after all.
Furthermore, DJ Rodorigo inspired her a lot with his cool and free selections and colorful variations of music. Eventually,
She started her carrier as a Salsa DJ in Kanazawa, and then appeared in Shinpoo-kan, Kyoto in 2008 May.
Since then, she plays her music actively in her local area, Kanazawa, and Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka in Kansai area, Nagoya,
Hamamatsu in Tokai area, and so on. Her selections of fancy charming music attract many fans everywhere.
She loves especially 60s-to 70s salsa music and Latin jazz music.
She aims to be female-friendly selections of music with follower perspective.

DJ NICK (CANADA)

Nick discovered salsa years ago and never looked back. Not content only to dance,
he started to explore the vast world and history of latin music. He began collecting CDs and LPs and discovered
a passion in the sounds of classic salsa.

He began to play regularly in Victoria and Vancouver, Canada, and soon became one of the most sought after salsa
DJs on Canada's west coast. He has traveled and played in various cities, such as San Francisco and
Boston and he has been invited to play at several events around the world, including the Japan,
Boston and Puerto Rico Salsa congresses.

In the spring of 2008, Nick moved to Kyoto, Japan, where he discovered a thriving dance scene and a new salsa
home. Though he has now moved to Tokyo, he splits his time between Tokyo, Kyoto and his native Canada.

Nick has built his reputation as a dancer's DJ by paying close attention to the mood and energy of the crowd.
He carefully chooses each song to create sets with the kind of flow and variety of music the dancers love.
He is also constantly hunting for more great music to play.
