he started to explore the vast world and history of latin music. He began collecting CDs and LPs and discovered
a passion in the sounds of classic salsa.
He began to play regularly in Victoria and Vancouver, Canada, and soon
became one of the most sought after salsa
DJs on Canada's west coast. He has traveled and played in various cities,
such as San Francisco and
Boston and he has been invited to play at several events around the world,
including the Japan,
Boston and Puerto Rico Salsa congresses.
In the spring of 2008, Nick moved to Kyoto, Japan, where he discovered a thriving dance scene and a new salsa
home. Though he has now moved to Tokyo, he splits his time between Tokyo, Kyoto and his native Canada.
Nick has built his reputation as a dancer's DJ by paying close attention
to the mood and energy of the crowd.
He carefully chooses each song to create sets with the kind of flow and
variety of music the dancers love.
He is also constantly hunting for more great music to play.
